Mark Tirris is a proud Wiraduri (central NSW) and European man. Growing up he learnt culture and language from the aboriginal community of the far north coast NSW.He won the award for second place in the Griffith University First Peoples health unit art award in 2022. He is a published author and illustrator of many children’s books.
