About Erica Eurell

Jingeri (Hello). My name is Erica Eurell. I’m a Traditional Custodian from the Yugambeh Language Region of the Gold Coast., as well as descendants of the Aboriginal people from Wollumbin Mount Warning.

I have a passion for connecting with community so my knowledge in culture has grown and thus I help others within the wider community develop an increased understanding and respect for the culture. To achieve this I will support and seek out skills and knowledge of Indigenous artists and craftsmen/women.

The connections I have made through weaving and painting, and particularly Language and performance based projects, has allowed me to connect to other active members of the community, so I have strong understanding of cultural protocols and, in particular, needs of the Indigenous youth of who are the future of of arts and culture.
