Emma Phillips

Emma Phillips is an emerging aboriginal artist and animator concluding a Bachelor of Fine Arts- Animation at the Queensland University of Technology. Here aboriginal mob is Wiradjuri, Wungunja Tribe, in New South Wales. The culture has been passed down through. Her father, Lionel Phillips artworks and paintings.

Last year at the Queensland University of Technology, Emma directed the short, animated film, The Goan Waterhole. An aboriginal Dreamtime story passed down from her elder and father, Lionel Phillips, of the Wiradjuri Wungunja mob, which also connects to the aboriginal land councillor in Trangie.

Emma also has some aboriginal network connections on the Gold Coast and Brisbane and with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Team in Screen Queensland.
