THis Stringbark didgeridoo is made from a native Australian eucalyptus tree that has been naturally hollowed by a termites over time and then hand crafted by Indigenous artisans into a beautiful, playable unique instrument. Hand painted by renown Northern Territory Artist,Bill Harney in his traditional style that reflects the traditional roots of the area It is finished with a light clear varnish to protect it from drying and cracking. Finished with natural beeswax on mouth-piece to enhance players comfort.
Yidumduma BillHarney was born on Willeroo station around 1936 an is a tribal elder from the Wardaman country in the Fitzmaurice region.120 klms south est of Katherine in the Northern Territory of Australia.This country is know as the land of the Lightning Brothers.Bill paints in the traditional colours and depicts the lightning Brothers along with traditional styles from this area.Bill is a accomplished artist,painter,didgeridoo maker and player.
