Why the Emu can not fly

Many years ago in our tribe, the men are taught to hunt and when they are confident enough to hunt, they are sent out to hunt on their own.

So the hunters travel along way past the trees, desert and water holes. He gets lost. The hunter asks the Emu if he could borrow his wings just to fly up in the sky and see my home and my tribe. The Emu says no ,Biamie ( our God ) said to the Emu because you won’t share your wings, Biamie  will make your body too big, wings too small so you cannot fly.

That’s why the Emu cannot fly and Biamie told the little Goongarra (Goanna, Lizard ) to show him his way home.

The big wiggly circle with circle dots inside it is the water hole.

The white figure with the line coming off him is Biamie  (Our God )

The two circles with a wiggly line and dots inside is a Bora ring. (Tribal area )

The big man figure is the hunter.

The wiggly circles with wiggly circles inside them is the desert area.

The patch dots are the plants and trees.
